Scenarios

This document describes how to associate users/user groups/roles with policies and how to associate policies with users/user groups/roles. Upon successful association, users/user groups/roles will obtain corresponding permissions through the policies.

Prerequisites

The user has logged in to the CAM console.

Operation Steps

Associating Users/User Groups/Roles with Policies

  1. On the CAM console, click Policy Management on the left to enter the Policy Management page.

  2. On the Policy Management page, select preset policies or custom policies as needed in Policy Type.

  3. Locate the desired preset policy, and click Associate Users/User Groups/Roles in the Operation column on the right.

  4. In the displayed Associate Users/User Groups/Roles dialog box, select user, user group, or role in Type as needed.

  5. Select the users/user groups/roles to be associated.

  6. Click OK to complete the association of users with policies.

Associating Policies with Users

  1. On the CAM console, click User Management on the left to enter the User Management page.
  2. Select a specified user, click the username to enter the User Details page.
  3. Under Associated Policies, click Associate Policy to open the Associate Policy dialog box.
  4. In the Associate Policy dialog box, select the desired policy.
  5. Click OK to complete the association of custom policies with users.

Associating Policies with User Groups

  1. On the CAM console, click User Group on the left to enter the User Management page.
  2. Find the user group to be authorized and click its name to enter the User Group Details page.
  3. Under Associated Policies, click Associate Policy to open the Associate Policy dialog box.
  4. In the displayed Associate Policy dialog box, select the target policy.
  5. Click OK to complete the association of preset policies with user groups.
