At present, cross-region replication of cloud disk snapshot is supported, through which you can either migrate data and services to other regions or build your business cross-region disaster recovery system based on cross-region replication capability.
Operation Steps
Log in to console and enter Snapshot List page.
Click Cross-Region Replication in the row where the target snapshot is located.
Set the following parameters:
- New Snapshot Name: Fill in the name of the new snapshot, which has no more than 60 characters and is an optional parameter.
The default name will contain source snapshot ID and region information and will be in the format ofCopied <Source snapshot ID> from <Source snapshot region>, e.g.,Copied snap-oi5spwt2 from ap-city. - Region: Select the target region to which a snapshot is to be copied, which is a mandatory parameter.
In selecting a region, pay attention to snapshot quota and regional restrictions.
- New Snapshot Name: Fill in the name of the new snapshot, which has no more than 60 characters and is an optional parameter.
Click OK to start replication. For a source snapshot, the status prompt will be added, and for the target region, a new snapshot will be added.
After replication, the new snapshot can be checked in the snapshot list of the target region.
Note:
Deleting the source snapshot during cross-region replication is not allowed.
During the process of cross-region replication:
- Status of source snapshot: it can be checked in the status bar of the source snapshot row in the source region snapshot list.
- Status of target snapshot: it can be checked in the snapshot list page of the target region.
