Scaling Activity Cancellation

Scaling activity cancellation means that the scheduled task time is reached or the alarm scaling condition is met, so the scaling activity is triggered, but there is a conflict, and the scaling activity is forced to be canceled.
Cause of Conflict:

  • There is ongoing scaling activity.
  • The scaling group is in the cooldown period.
Is the scaling activity retried after cancellation?
  • Alarm Scaling. If the activity is canceled, it is not retried. However, if the conditions for alarm scaling continue to be met, the next alarm scaling activity is triggered.
  • Scheduled Action The expected number of instances, the maximum number of scaling, and the minimum number of scaling are defined, so the scaling group keeps retrying to ensure that the actual number of instances matches the expected number of instances.

    Note:
When a scaling group is suspended, the scaling group does not attempt scaling activities directly. Therefore, the Scaling Activities record does not contain any canceled scaling activities.
