Building High Availability DB with HAVIP+Windows Server Failover Cluster

  1. Creating a HAVIP
log in to HAVIP Console , and create a HAVIP. For detailed methods, please refer to Creating Highly Available Virtual IP.
  2. Binding and Configuration
The configuration is the same as that in the traditional mode. The backend server declares and negotiates which device will be bound with the created HAVIP. You simply need to specify the virtual IP address in the configuration file as HAVIP.
In the cluster manager, add the HAVIP that was just created.
  3. Verification
After the configuration is completed, directly switch nodes for testing.
Under normal circumstances, the network will be restored after only a brief interruption (which may be imperceptible if the failover is fast), and business operations remain unaffected.
