Elastic Public IP Address (EIP), also known as an Elastic IP address or Elastic IP. With EIP, you can quickly map an address to another instance (or NAT gateway instance) in your account for failure isolation. You can keep an EIP in your account until you release it. Unlike common public IPs, which are tied to cloud servers and follow their lifecycle, elastic public IPs can be decoupled from cloud servers and operated on as standalone cloud resources. For example, if you need to retain a public IP address that is strongly related to your business, convert it to an EIP and keep it in your account.
