Binding or Unbinding EIP

Last Updated At: 2025-10-21 09:10:00

High Availability Virtual IP (HAVIP), similar to regular internal IPs, supports binding or unbinding an Elastic IP (EIP) via the console. If you have a need for public network communication, you can refer to this document to bind an EIP. If you do not have a requirement for public network communication, you can skip this section.

Binding EIP

  1. Log in to the VPC console, and in the left navigation pane, select IP & Network Interfaces > High Availability Virtual IP.
  2. On the HAVIP management page, select the HAVIP to which you want to bind the EIP, and click Bind in the right-hand operation column.
  3. In the Bind EIP dialog box that appears, click on the EIP you want to bind.

Note:

  1. Click Confirm to complete the EIP binding.

Unbinding EIP

  1. Log in to the VPC console, and in the left navigation pane, select IP & Network Interfaces > High Availability Virtual IP.
  2. On the HAVIP management page, select the HAVIP from which you want to unbind the EIP, and click Unbind in the right-hand operation column.
  3. In the Unbind Elastic Public IP dialog box that appears, please be aware of the following risks, confirm them, and then click Confirm to complete the unbinding of the EIP.

    Note:

    • Unbinding an EIP will affect public network services. Please assess the impact on your business and make necessary preparations.
    • After unbinding, the EIP will enter an idle state, and the system will charge idle resource fees. If not needed, you can release the EIP directly.
