Overview
The instance launch template stores the configuration information (except the instance password) required to create the Cloud Virtual Machine instance. You can use the specified instance launch template to quickly create an instance to improve efficiency and user experience. This document describes how to create, manage, and use instance launch templates through the Cloud Virtual Machine console to quickly create instances.
Directions
Create Template
- Log in to the CVM Console.
- In the left sidebar, click CVM > Cloud Host Template to enter the template list page.
- Click Create, select configurations as needed on the Create CVM Template page, enter the template name and description in Step 5: Confirm Configuration Information, and click Activate to create the template.
- After the template is created, you can view it on the Template List page.
Edit Template
- On the Template List page, click More > Edit Template in the Operation column of the template you want to modify to enter the Edit CVM Template page.
- Adjust the configuration as needed. After the adjustment is completed, click Save.
- Return to the Template List page, the template details have been updated.
Rename Template
- On the Template List page, click More > Rename in the Operation column of the template you want to modify to enter the Rename page.
- Enter a new name in the new template name input box, then click OK to modify the template.
Deleting Template
- On the Template List page, click More > Delete in the Operation column of the template you want to modify to enter the Delete page.
- Read the relevant information about deletion carefully, then click Delete to delete the template.
Create an instance
- On the Template List page, click Create CVM in the Operation column of the template to enter the Create CVM page.
- Select the purchase quantity as needed, confirm that you have no objection to the cost, and click Create to create the instance.
