Assigning a Dedicated Instance on CDH

Assigning CVM

1. Go to the instance assignment page.
2. Open the CDH console.
3. Check the host in the list and click Assign CVM above.

Selecting a Host

Select the region and availability zone where the host resources you purchased are located, and select a dedicated host in that availability zone.

• If you select a host, your dedicated instance will be assigned to this specified host.
• If you select multiple hosts of the same type, the hosts you select will serve as the resource pool for assigning dedicated instances.
  

Select the CPU and Memory Configuration for the Instance

You can customize the CPU and memory configuration of the instance based on the remaining resources of the selected host/host resource pool. The instance resource configuration you specify will affect the number of instances created.

Select Other Configurations of the Instance and Start the Instance

The selection of the dedicated instance image, hard disk, network, and other configurations, as well as the startup of the instance, are the same as for an ordinary CVM instance.

• The instance network defaults to a monthly billing model: When you select the instance's network configuration, you only need to select the upper bandwidth limit of the instance network.
