Online migration can migrate systems and applications on the source server from source environments such as self-developed IDCs or cloud platforms to cloud platforms to meet business needs such as enterprise cloud migration, cross-cloud platform migration, cross-account/region migration, or hybrid cloud deployment.
The source server mentioned in this document can be a physical server, a virtual machine, or a Cloud Virtual Machine on other cloud platforms. Other cloud platforms include but are not limited to AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Converge Cloud, and Huawei Cloud.
Applicable Scenario
Online migration is applicable to the following scenarios (including but not limited to):
- IT architecture to the cloud
- Hybrid cloud architecture deployment
- Cross-cloud migration
- Cross-account or cross-region migration
Supported Features
Currently, online migration supports server migration features.
Preparations
- The account and destination server have been prepared on the cloud platform.
- It is recommended that you suspend applications on the source server to avoid possible impacts on existing applications during the migration.
