The lifecycle of a CVM dedicated host (CDH) refers to the statuses it goes through from startup to termination. Proper management of CDH instances from startup to termination ensures that applications running on the instances can provide services efficiently and economically.
Statuses of CDH Instance

| Creating | Intermediate status | Status after a CDH instance is created and before it enters the running status. |
| Running | Stable status | Normal running status, in which CVM instances can be created on a CDH instance. |
| Recycled | Stable status | Status in which a CDH enters the recycle bin. |
| Terminated | Stable status | Once the termination operation is completed, the original CDH will no longer exist and be unable to provide services, and the data will be completely cleared. |
CDH Instance Recycling Mechanism
- After a CDH instance enters the recycle bin, you can still restore it. If restoration is completed during the recycle bin period, the CVM instances and their associated networks and CBS on the CDH will become available again.
- If your CDH resources are not restored after being kept in the recycle bin for a few days, the system will release the resources. All CVM instances on the CDH will be terminated, and the data on local disks and CBS associated with the CVM instances will be cleared and cannot be restored.
