What is the difference between an instance allocated on a CVM Dedicated Host (CDH) and an ordinary CVM?
The instances on the CDH are deployed on your own CDH in a single-tenant environment, while ordinary CVMs share physical server resources among multiple tenants. CDHs support customizing the specifications of their instances, while ordinary CVMs do not support this capability. In terms of other features, there is no difference between a CDH and an ordinary CVM.
How Will the Hosts Be Allocated if Multiple CDHs Are Selected When I Create an Instance?
If you select multiple CDHs when creating an instance, the instances will be randomly created on these CDHs.
The actual disk resources occupied by the created instances are 2 GB more than the selected resources?
When they create an instance, users can customize the size of the system disk and data disk. When an instance is created, in addition to the hard disk usage planned by the user, 2 GB of local disk resources will be deducted for the storage of additional configuration information.
Do CVMs on CDHs Support Migration?
Supports hot migration of instances between different CDHs of the same model and configuration. Currently, migration of instances between CDH resource pools and common CVM instance resource pools is not supported.
