Deleting Security Group

Overview

If your business has no longer required one or more security groups, you can delete the security group. After deletion, all rules within the security group are deleted simultaneously.

Prerequisites

Make sure that the security group to be deleted has no associated instances. If there are associated instances, remove those instances from the security group first; otherwise, the operation to delete the security group cannot be executed. For detailed operations, see Remove from Security Group.

Directions

  1. Log in to the CVM console.
  2. Click Security Group in the left sidebar to enter the security group management page.
  3. Select Region on the security group management page and find the security groups to be deleted.
  4. In the row of the security group to be deleted, click More > Delete in the Action column.
  5. In the pop-up dialog Box, click OK.
