Logging In to Windows Instances

Overview

After you create a Windows instance, you can connect to and log in to the CVM instance based on your local operating system.

Prerequisites

  • You have obtained the administrator account and password required to remotely log in to the Windows instance.
    • The administrator account for Windows instances is unified as Administrator.
  • If you use the system default password to log in to the instance, please go to the Message Center to obtain it.
  • The CVM port 3,389 has been opened. You can check if port 3,389 is open by checking network connectivity. If the port is not open, you can set inbound/outbound rules for the port when configuring security groups.

Remote Log-in to Instances Using VNC

VNC log-in is a way provided by Converge Cloud for users to remotely connect to the CVM through a web browser. If the remote log-in client is not installed or the client remote log-in is unavailable, users can log in to the CVM via VNC log-in, observe the CVM status, and perform basic CVM management operations through the CVM account.

Use Limits

  • Logging in via VNC does not currently support copy and paste, as well as file upload and download.
  • When you log into the CVM via VNC, you need to use a major browser, such as Chrome, Firefox, IE 10 and above.
  • VNC log-in provides an exclusive terminal session, meaning that only one user can log in via VNC at any given time.

Applicable Local Operating System

Windows, Linux and Mac OS

Directions

  1. Log in to the CVM Console.
